Prepare the tape
Tape ingestion and auto-mapping
Try it now in the free tape check.
Every system exports loans differently: “Current Principal Balance” here, “UPB” there, rates as 8.99 or 0.0899. ProvenPool reads the tape as it comes and maps it to a standard set of loan fields before testing anything.
The problem
The first week of most sales goes to rebuilding the tape: renaming columns, fixing date formats, converting rates, and finding out which field is the real balance. It happens again on the next sale.
How it works
- Reads CSV exports of any layout, including quoted fields, blank lines and duplicate headers.
- Maps columns to 15 standard loan fields by name and common aliases, and lets you override any mapping.
- Normalizes rates and ratios per column (8.99 and 0.0899 both work) and reads ISO, US and compact date formats.
- Flags values that don't parse (“N/A” in a rate column, a 13th month) as data defects instead of failing silently.
How it compares
Buy-side platforms such as dv01, Cardo AI and Cascade normalize the tapes investors receive. ProvenPool does it on the seller's side, before the tape goes out. See the full comparison
